Project Statement
This project improves a beloved Austin steakhouse, The Hoffbrau, whilst maintaining its historical charm. I created a new set of brand guidelines with the intention of attracting tourists who yearn for an experience that feels unique to Texas and Austin. At the same time it was just as important to consider locals and regulars who would be unhappy if the 1932-born restaurant were to drastically change. With these ideas in mind, I pushed the restaurant’s design to give it the edge it needs to continue to thrive and compete in Austin’s very competitive restaurant atmosphere.
Process
Through interviews, research, and field work, I gained knowledge about the restaurant industry, restaurant design, and branding.
